The cottage was well appointed to a very high standard. Everything we could have needed was available in the kitchen and the accommodation was generous and comfortable. The views and outdoor facilities were stunning- the ever changing skyline was a retreat and recreation in itself.
Local walks and beaches are lovely and we even enjoyed blackberries from nearby lanes.
The cottage was clean and felt very safe despite the current restrictions and we will happily return sometime very soon.

Our 1st booking through Coastal Holidays for a week on Anglesey. The company had numerous print-outs to give all the information in advance to make good use our time – Walks to do nearby and in different areas, special places for children and cost, places to visit and eat. Tan Y Bryn house was even better than the outline inventory on booking and the online info. A superb house with everything you need to be quiet, The Passant Familywarm, safe and secure and well fed! loads of info. in the house and games for all the family, not to mention several tv’s.Beautifully kept, comfy beds, lots of towels and everything you need in the kitchen including a washing machine, fridge and freezer. We are a bit fussy! but Tan Y Bryn and Coastal Holidays were absolutely superb, can’t recommend them and the house highly enough. The Passant Family

We stayed with friends, another retired couple, in March 2017 for just 3 nights; it rained, but we’re not letting that influence our review. The house is entered at ground level with 2 of the bedrooms downstairs; one twin and a double which has an en-suite shower room (the downstairs footprint is only half the size of the upstairs, being built on a slope). The third, largest bedroom is upstairs has a double bed as well as a sofa bed and is on the same, higher level as the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The lounge area has lovely sea views on two sides, so on a clear day (when the rain eased off in our case) there are views from Snowdonia on the right to the Great Orme and most of the North Wales coastline in the middle and the the more local coastline on the left. The house is very well equipped and the only real criticism we had was that there had been no attempt to warm the place up prior to our arrival. It didn’t feel damp – the heating is all electric and although the upstairs soon warmed through, it took quite a while for the downstairs bedroom to get up to temperature. We were probably some of the first guests to arrive in 2017, so it maybe hadn’t been warmed up since winter – a silly time to come really – as evidenced by the rain ! It is accessed by quite narrow roads and is not close to anything much except the Anglesey coastal path which almost goes through the bottom of the garden and is easily accessed from the house. We walked down it to the Penmon lighthouse one (less rainy) day and took shelter at the Pilot House cafe for coffee before walking back via Penmon Priory. The nearest pub/restaurant is the very friendly Owain Glyndwr in Llandona which we drove to every night for dinner, being dog-friendly for our terrier and our our friend’s Labrador. Short of driving back to (and/or through) Beaumaris, there wasn’t a lot of choice for eating out, but we were very happy to go back to the Owain Glyndwr anyway. We had a lovely stay at Tan Y Bryn and we may well return one day – when the weather is likely to be better !

Tan Y Bryn is a really lovely cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. The views are fabulous from every window and the upside down aspect works really well. The garden is great for children and dogs – lots of really nice walks-we particularly enjoyed the walk to Penmon lighthouse-then back to the cottage for an evening by the log burner. We would definitely recommend!

“The house is little out of the way, which suited us as we were a family of two adults with a child and two pensioners. The directions provided got us there no problem and the location allowed for privacy and great views.
The house comprised of a living/dining/kitchen area at entry level with an large double bedroom on the same level, this meant my parents were able to avoid going up and down stairs. Downstairs were two more medium sized rooms, one double ensuite and one twin and there was access to the patio and garden from downstairs. We had to move some beds to allow for our travel cot to be erected, but this was no great hassle.
The kitchen was sufficently equiped and there were games and books provided for entertainment. There was a wood burning stove in the living area and we had to source wood from a local post office, using the stove was not essential as there was plenty heating should it be needed but it was a nice touch.”Sep 2012
