“Pamela and Paul were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The cottage is lovely, just as described and looks in the photos. Clean, spacious with all the amenities we needed. Lots of hot water and cozy too. A great base for exploring the North of Wales! We had an amazing week holiday! Thank you! We’ll be back ?”
Delightful cottage and a rare find with separate single rooms for the kids and two bathrooms, one was en-suite. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living area very comfortable. The views of the countryside were stunning and the location was just a few mins from A55, but you wouldn’t know it as was so peaceful. Anglesey is a must to visit. Some of our favorite places are Beaumaris, Cemaes Bay, Rhosneigr, and Aberffraw. Pamela our host was very welcoming and on hand for help and advice. Highly recommend this cottage as a base for exploring the North Wales coast and surrounding area. We will be back.
Fabulous barn! Had everything we needed – a home away from home. Perfect location and great hosts. The barn is a few minutes drive or cycle from the amazing scenery and walks. The Bangor to Snowdonia cycle track along an old railway line is great, and few minutes from the barn. Would definitely recommend.
Highly recommend this cottage. We had a warm welcome when we arrived with basic essentials provided, such as tea, milk & biscuits. The owners were welcoming & very helpful. The cottage is convenient but also nicely nestled away. Lovely sunny garden to sit & relax. Well equipped kitchen & good showers. We would definitely revisit.
Stayed here 5 days. The location was stunning. Beautiful views. The barn was spotless. If you are looking for a quite relaxing place to stay its ideal. The secluded patio area, faces south west and its a real sun trap where you can enjoy the views. The barn conversion is self-catering. It has all you need. Mrs. E.Crocombe greeted us when we arrived. And we enjoyed her home baked Welsh Cake. Definitely recommend this lovely place!
Ysgubor is in a great location on the edge of Snowdonia, and extremely well placed for reaching not only attractions in North Wales (of which there are plenty, for all tastes), but also on Anglesey too. We stayed as a family of four so having three bedrooms was perfect for us. The hosts were very helpful (and left us a delicious bara brith too).
Don’t be put off by the slightly dated look in the property photos as this is a very well appointed cottage. This property has both a decent sized fridge and a separate freezer which we found useful. Note there is no bath although there are two good sized shower rooms.
Internet access would have been a nice bonus, and and mobile signal is not guaranteed given the location (some networks seemed better than others)
Property now has internet
We absolutely LOVED this 3 bedroom converted barn. It has been recently remodeled and everything is clean, new, and in great working order. The 2 single bed rooms are quite small, but we didn’t mind a bit. To have a bit of privacy while travelling is a luxury and these rooms not only give privacy but a very comfortable bed as well. The master room holds a double rather than a king, but has a wonderful private bathroom. The kitchen, dining, and living room are spacious and comfortable. Also, the location was ideal. The cottage was very quiet and felt tucked away in the farm lands, but was actually quite close to the major highways in the area. It was very well located to explore many different areas of Northern Wales
